Cameron Scott qualified as a solicitor in 1987 and was previously a partner in private practice (with Barlow, Lyde & Gilbert and then with Allen & Overy's Hong Kong office) prior to joining the AIDB as its first Executive Counsel in February 2004. He previously practised in Scotland, London and Hong Kong, concentrating mainly on professional liability, insolvency and commercial litigation. He is a solicitor-advocate, a qualified arbitrator and mediator and has held judicial office as a High Court Registrar in Hong Kong. He was also a prosecutor for the Hong Kong Law Society disciplinary scheme and a member of its Professional Indemnity Scheme advisory and claims committees.
